  2. Multi-axis CNC Precision Machining (typically using 5-axis simultaneous machines):

    • Semi-finishing/Finishing: Uses precision form cutters or small-diameter tools to progressively or envelopingly cut the precise tooth profile with high spindle speed and slow feed rates.

    • May use special tools: Such as dish-shaped grinding wheels or electroplated CBN form tools for tooth flank finishing.

  3. Inspection & Verification:

    • Use a Gear Measuring Center or Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to inspect tooth profile, tooth alignment, and pitch errors.

    • Use a 3D Scanner to compare the actual physical part with the digital design model.
